The University of Texas says running back Malcolm Brown will miss this Saturday’s game at home against eighth-ranked West Virginia game with sprained left ankle.

Brown left after the first quarter of the Longhorns’ 41-36 victory over Oklahoma State last Saturday. He finished with three carries for seven yards.

Freshman tailback Johnathan Gray came on in relief and had 12 carries for 68 yards.

Brown, a sophomore, has 245 yards on 40 carries this season and three touchdowns.

The 6-0, 225 pound Brown was the No. 1 running back prospect in the class of 2011.

Former Heisman Trophy winner Vince Young, now with the Buffalo Bills,  is suing his former agent and former financial adviser over millions of dollars of missing money, according to reports.

The Houston Chronicle reported that Young’s suit accuses former agent Major Adams II and financial adviser Ron Peoples of “fraud, unjust enrichment, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, usury and breach of contract.”

Young’s lawyer said that at least $5.5 million is missing, according to reports, and the lawsuit was needed in order to determine ”what happened to a large sum of money that there’s no accounting for.”

Adams and Peoples worked for Young during his five years with the Tennessee Titans. He signed a rookie contract worth at least $54 million in 2006. Adams was reported to be a family friend when Young hired him, and he has no other NFL clients.

“There has been at least some evidence that there has been some fraud and some forgeries using [Young’s] name over the last several years that we believe that Major Adams and Ron Peoples are responsible for,” Trey Dolezal, the lawyer who filed the lawsuit for Young, told the Chronicle on Monday. “We have no idea how much money is missing.”

University of Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds is content with the current 10-team Big 12.  But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t thought about expanding.

Dodds tells CBSSports.com that discussions with Notre Dame have been ongoing since 2010 and the newly-formed Champions Bowl between the Big 12 and SEC regular season champions further solidifies the power conferences in college football.

“We could expand to some number,” Dodds tells CBSSports.com “You name the number — 12, 14, 16. We could expand but the question is ‘do we need to expand?’ In my mind 10 is perfect because you play everybody in football and there is a double-round-robin in basketball.”  Fighting Irish head basketball coach Mike Brey told CBSSports.com yesterday that Notre Dame has ”contingency plans” if they decide to leave the Big East Conference.

  • Roger Clemens On Hall Of Fame: ‘It Would Be An Honor’

Roger Clemens has been largely avoiding public attention for the last couple years, as a steroid scandal and a long criminal investigation have smeared his reputation, perhaps permanently. But the retired hurler made an appearance Saturday at the University of Texas alumni game, and he even sat down for a TV interview to discuss his chances of making the Baseball Hall of Fame.

“It would be an honor,” Clemens said of his potential induction. “But I have no control over it. The other guys vote, and you just have to go through the process there. If it happens, it’s great, but it won’t change my life. I’m not going to go around shaking people’s hands and telling them I’m a Hall of Famer. That’s not who I am as a person. But it would be fantastic.”

Clemens will be on the ballot to make the Hall in 2013, along with other stars like Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa who contributed to the controversy of the Steroid Era.

The odds don’t look good for Clemens and others of his ilk — out of the required 75 percent of the voting necessary for induction, Mark McGwire garnered just 19.5 percent in 2012, and Rafael Palmeiro only 12.6.

Clemens was an 11-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion during his 24-year career. He compiled 354 wins, 4,672 strikeouts and a career ERA of 3.12 before walking away from the game in 2007.
