Golden State Warriors guard Jarrett Jack is among one of the first players in the NBA to receive a warning for flopping, according to his tweet on Tuesday indicating that he had been notified by the league about his alleged acting job.

The NBA announced this offseason that it will have a new “anti-flopping” policy in which players will be punished for “trickery” and “deceit” from those who try to draw a foul by overreacting to contact with an opposing player. Jack’s notification from the league is simply a warning. He does not face a possible fine or suspension. Though it’s unclear which play the league is referencing with regards to Jack’s flop, it’s likely to have occurred during the Warriors’ game on Oct. 15 against the Denver Nuggets, a day before he tweeted news of the warning. The Warriors also played the Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz earlier in October as part of their preseason schedule.

After the first alleged flop, a player can expect to face a fine of $5,000 for the second incident and then for each incident that follows, a heftier fine will follow. A player will be fined up to $30,000 for the fifth flop after the warning.

The Golden State Warriors will receive New Orleans Hornets point guard Jarret Jack as part of the trade that sent the Warriors’ Dorell Wright to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a tweet Wednesday afternoon from Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

The Sixers’ trade for Wright was reported on July 10, with the Warriors receiving Edin Bavcic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in return. Now, according to Stein, Bavcic is headed to New Orleans.

Jack made $5 million with the Hornets last year in what was considered to be the best season of his career, averaging 15.6 points and 6.3 assists in 34 minutes per game.

Wright made $3.8 million with the Warriors last season. His trade was initially seen as a way for the Warriors to clear up cap space, but it’s not clear whether that is the case anymore if the Warriors keep Jack for next season.

Jarrett Jack of the New Orleans Hornets is expected to miss at least a week with a sore left knee, according to the Associated Press.

After missing three games with the injury, the Hornets’ starting point guard attempted to make a return Wednesday night in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. Jack played nearly 28 minutes against the Bulls but racked up just four points and three assists; the team has since shut Jack down again.

Hornets coach Monty Williams says Greivis Vasquez will start in Jack’s place.

Eric Gordon (sore right knee), Carl Landry (sprained left knee) and Jason Smith (concussion) are all currently out for New Orleans as well. The Hornets are nursing the worst record in the Western Conference at 4-22.
