German soccer club and Champions League semifinalist Borussia Dortmund has a new partnership with Turkish Airlines, reports the Associated Press. The value of the deal was not revealed, but it will be over several years, and advertising cooperation will begin on the May 4 match against Bayern Munich.

Dortmund won the Bundesliga title for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons; Bayern Munich clinched this season’s championship earlier in April, its 23rd national title.

From the Associated Press report:

The deal will involve the airline flying the team to matches abroad in the Champions League.

It comes after Bayern Munich secured the services next season of Dortmund midfielder Mario Goetze, activating a release clause in the Germany international’s contract worth 37 million euros ($48 million).

Clint Dempsey is getting out of Fulham and has agreed to a three-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur just hours before the transfer window closed, reports Yahoo! Sports.  Liverpool was though to be the frontrunner but were unable to come to an agreement with Fulham.

The transfer fee is reported to be $9.5 million.

Dempsey, who spent the last five years with Fulham following a stint in Major League Soccer, had been seeking a move to a Champions League-caliber club after scoring 23 goal in 46 games in all competitions for the Cottagers last season.

Aston Villa, Sunderland and Arsenal were all interested in Dempsey’s services in the past week.
