Dodgers Sign Juan Rivera To 1-Year Deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed outfielder Juan Rivera to a 1-year deal, according to the team’s official Twitter feed. ”It’s official, the #Dodgers have signed Juan Rivera to a 1-year contract after he helped the club go 41-28 in the 2nd half last season,” the team tweeted.
An earlier ESPN.com report indicated that the terms of the deal would earn Rivera $4 million in 2012, with a team option for $4 million in 2013. The team did not reveal terms of the contract.
In 2011, Rivera hit .258 with 11 home runs; five of those homers came after he was traded to the Dodgers from the Toronto Blue Jays.
