Long-time Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor is close to an agreement to join ESPN as an NFL analyst, SPORTSbyBROOKS reported in a tweet.

Taylor retired at the end of last season after 15 years in the NFL. The defensive end and outside linebacker made six Pro Bowls and led the league in 2002 with 18.5 sacks.

He spent 13 of those seasons, including 2011, with the Miami Dolphins. He also had one-year stints with the Washington Redskins and New York Jets.

Taylor raised his profile off the field by performing on Dancing with the Stars. He finished second on the show’s sixth season.

Miami Dolphins longtime pass rusher Jason Taylor will reportedly retire after this season, according to the Miami Herald.

Taylor has recorded seven sacks and 17 tackles this season. Over the course of his career he has tallied 139.5 sacks, 47 forced fumbles, 773 tackles, and eight interceptions.

The future Hall-of-Famer’s best season came in 2002 when he recorded 18.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles for the Dolphins. In 2006 he was named the Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year after he tallied 13.5 sacks and a league leading two interceptions returned for touchdowns.

Taylor, 37, will retire as the Dolphin’s all-time sacks leader, and will finish his career among the NFL’s top 10 in career sacks. The six-time Pro Bowler played all but two years of his career with Miami. Taylor also had stints with the New York Jets and the Washington Redskins.
