Report: Thunder agrees to two-year deal with center Hasheem Thabeet

As a source told SI.com’s Sam Amick on Sunday, Oklahoma City was the most likely landing spot for former No. 2 overall pick Hasheem Thabeet.
Now Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Thunder have indeed agreed to a two-year deal with the 7’3″ center, who most recently played for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman detailed on Monday why the Thunder would take a chance on Thabeet, whom Mayberry labeled “a bust.”
No word on money, but Mayberry wrote that OKC could probably get Thabeet for the veteran’s minimum, or about $880,000 next season.
