Green Bay Packers wide receiver, Greg Jennings told the “Ian O’Connor Show,” on ESPN New York 1050 that he believes quarterback Aaron Rodgers is better than Brett Favre.

“They both bring different things to the table, but honestly right now I definitely have to go with … Aaron, his body of work at such a young age, his attention to detail, his discipline, I think it’s really second to none — its un-paralleled,” Jennings said, as transcribed by ESPN.com.

“You haven’t really found a QB that has done it the way (Rodgers) has done it,” Jennings told ESPN 1050.

Since Rodgers has taken over as the quarterback in Green Bay, Jennings numbers have sky rocketed. The 28-year-old receiver has hauled in 291 passes for 4,619 yards and 34 touchdowns in 61 games with Rodgers under center as opposed to 98 receptions, 1,552 yards and 15 touchdowns in two seasons with Favre.

Rodgers will compete this Sunday in the divisional playoffs attempting to accomplish something that Favre never did, winning a second Super Bowl title with the Green Bay Packers.

  • Greg Jennings: ‘We Haven’t Forgotten’ About Packers’ Playoff Loss To Giants In 2008

The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl back in February and backed it up with a dazzling 15-1 season — but that doesn’t mean they’re not still hungry and ready to send a message. Receiver Greg Jennings, for one, has found new motivation for the Packers’ playoff opener next weekend.

The Packers went 13-3 in 2007 and earned the top overall playoff seed in the NFC, but they lost the NFC title game to the New York Giants in overtime, 23-20. Brett Favre went 19-of-35 with two interceptions; Jennings had just one catch. The Giants went on to topple the vaunted Patriots and win the Super Bowl.

With the Giants’ 24-2 victory over the Falcons today, the stage is set for a rematch of the playoff showdown from four years ago. The Packers will host the Giants at Lambeau Field next Sunday, and Jennings will be out for blood.

The Green Bay Packers have ruled out star receiver Greg Jennings as well as  offensive linemen Chad Clifton and Bryan Buluga for this Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It had been speculated whether the 13-1 Packers would begin to sit players toward the end of the season, since they have already clinched an NFC North division title over the 9-5 Detroit Lions. The Packers lost their first game of the season last week 14-19 to Kansas City.

Jennings has led the Packers with 67 receptions this season, and currently ranks second on the team with nine touchdown receptions. Buluga and Clifton have served major roles on the offensive line that has allowed quarterback Aaron Rodgers to orchestrate one of the best offenses in the NFL this year.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will miss only 2-3 weeks with a sprained knee, according to the Associated Press. Jennings was injured in the 3rd quarter of Green Bay’s blowout win over the Oakland Raiders Sunday.

There were whispers that the severity of the injury could cause Jennings to miss significant time, but coach Mike McCarthy expects him back for the postseason.

“We have three games left,” McCarthy told the AP. “Yes, I would think it’d be safe to say he’ll be back for the playoffs.”

Jennings has 67 catches for 949 yards and nine touchdowns on the season for Green Bay, whose offense has been near unstoppable during their 13-0 run through the 2011 season.

Green Bay Packers star wide receiver Greg Jennings left the team’s dominating victory over the Oakland Raiders Sunday with a knee injury in the third quarter. Jennings was visibly pained, and rode to the locker room in a cart.

Now Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com is floating a report that Jennings suffered a torn MCL — a report that even Florio candidly admits is “unconfirmed.”

However, in a follow-up tweet Florio reports that Jennings will undergo an MRI tomorrow to determine the precise nature and severity of the injury, and that report has since been confirmed by Albert Breer of the NFL Network.

The Packers have been an offensive juggernaut through their 13-0 start to the season, and Jennings has been a big part of that. Through the 2011 season to date, Jennings has 67 catches for 949 yards and 9 touchdowns; if Jennings misses any significant time, it will like have noticeable ramifications for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense.
