Houston Texans safety Danieal Manning has been fined $15,000 by the NFL for punching Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Marshall Newshouse during their matchup Oct. 14, according to a report Wednesday afternoon from Dale Robertson of The Houston Chronicle:

“I was hating on him at that moment,” Manning said, “but it’s over. Things like that happen all the time in games.”

Manning was at the bottom of the pile with the 319-pound Newhouse appearing to take his time getting up. He said he expected to be fined because he was flagged for a personal foul on the play. But he plans to appeal the fine to explain why it happened. He said he was “hating on him” at the moment for taking his time to get up but admitted that they crossed paths later on in the game and apologized.

After Nike unveiled their rollout of new NFL uniforms for 2012, it was evident that the Green Bay Packers rejected any changes for the coming season, according to Nike.

At the Green Bay Packers’ page on NikeInc.com, it states: “The Green Bay Packers have chosen to stay with their traditional design aesthetic as well as their former uniform fabrication for the coming season.”

The Packers allowed no changes to their classic look as well as changing the new technology Nike introduced which includes a different fabric that is lighter when wet.

Although the Packers are among a handful of teams who opted to stay with their traditional uniforms, Nike has redesigned Nike Vapor Jet 2.0 Glove featuring the interlocking team logo on the palms.
