Former Carolina Panthers receiver Dwayne Jarrett, who was attempting a comeback with the Canadian Football League, has retired at age 25, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Jarrett, a second-round pick in 2007 out of Southern California where he was a two-time All-American, had only 35 receptions for 428 yards and one touchdown in four NFL seasons. He hasn’t played since 2010.
The 45th overall pick in 2007 had just six catches for 73 yards in his rookie season. Jarrett had multiple DUI arrests during his career and was suspended for three games by the NFL in March for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
