Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely with a torn elbow ligament according to Twitter reports.

Bargnani left Tuesday night’s game against the Trail Blazers after falling awkwardly on an attempted dunk. The team tweeted that X-rays came back negative on his right elbow, though he did not return to the game.

The Raptors also will be without point guard Kyle Lowry for an estimated 10 days with a partially torn triceps.

Bargnani has taken much of the blame for his erratic play and the Raptors’ early season woes. At 4-18, the Raptors have the league’s second-worst record. Fans and media have questioned Bargnani’s defensive toughness and rebounding effort. He’s averaged 16 points and 4.3 rebounds this season.

Bargnani has been linked to trade rumors involving the Lakers and Pau Gasol.

Toronto Raptors star Andrea Bargnani re-injured his calf in a 111-106 double overtime victory over the Utah Jazz last night. According to the Toronto Star, Bargnani says the injury is “much worse” than before.

Bargnani was in just his second game back after a calf injury forced him to miss the previous six games. The Raptors had lost all six contests without their former No. 1 overall pick in the lineup. With their win last night, they have now won two in a row since his initial return.

Despite his early exit, the 26-year-old scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds. In his first game back from injury on Tuesday, he scored a season high 36 points in a win over the Phoenix Suns.

In 13 games this season, Bargnani has averaged 23.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
