Riley Cooper, Jason Kelce sign contract extensions with Eagles
Wide receiver Riley Cooper and starting center Jason Kelce have re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a report Thursday from Adam Schefter and Adam Caplan of ESPN.
The 26-year-old Cooper struck a deal for five years, $25 million. On the season, he caught 47 passes for 835 yards and eight touchdowns.
Kelce, 26, inked a six-year extension worth $37.5 million, with $13 million guaranteed. He now becomes one of the five highest paid centers in the NFL (based on average salary per year). The sixth-rounder has started every game that he’s been available since being selected by the Eagles in 2011.
The Eagles finished last season at the top of the NFC East with a 10-6 record in new head coach Chip Kelly’s first year at the helm in Philadelphia. They lost a wildcard playoff game to the New Orleans Saints.
