Grunewald was reinstated as the winner of the women’s 3000 meters at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, according to the AP.

Grunewald, who won the race on Saturday with a time of 9 minutes, 23.15 seconds, was disqualified after the race when an opposing runner’s coach launched a protest.  Alberto Salazar, coach of the fourth place finisher, Jordan Hasay, said that Grunewald jostled Hasay during the bell lap.

“Grunewald had said the contact with Hasay, who finished fourth, was inadvertent.
Hasay said in a statement that she decided to withdraw her protest “as I do not want to make a national team under these circumstances.”
