The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded defenseman Mark Fraser to the Edmonton Oilers for Cam Abner and the rights to Teemu Hartikainen, as first reported by TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Abner is a forward/enforcer playing in the ECHL and Hartikainen is a wing playing in the KHL.

Fraser’s size (6-foot-4, 220 pounds) and game are well known to Oilers coach Dallas Eakins. The 28-year-old blueliner, selected by the Devils in the third round of the 2005 draft, played 50 AHL games with the Toronto Marlies under Eakins in 2011-13
