Gary Kubiak, who was fired as head coach of the Texans on Dec. 6 when they were 2-11, has been named offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced Monday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter had previously reported that Kubiak was the favorite for the job.

The Browns were reportedly interested in Kubiak for the same position.

Kubiak’s staff in Baltimore includes his former offensive coordinator in Houston, Rick Dennison, who will serve as quarterbacks coach.

Former Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell was hired to be the Lions’ head coach earlier this month.

Baltimore’s offense sputtered this season, averaging 20.2 points per game (26th in the league) and, according to Schefter, a franchise-worst 3.1 yards per carry.

Joe Flacco, fresh off a Super Bowl MVP, threw 19 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. His previous high in interceptions was 12.

Offensive line coach wasn't as much to blame as was offensive line talent.

1. Bryant McKinnie who was thrown out of Minnesota for being fat and lazy, came to Baltimore and was, wait for it.....fat and lazy. he had a total of four good games in Baltimore. his first (against Steelers on prime time) and last years Super Bowl playoff run. (Eugene Monroe NEEDS to be resigned)

2. Kelechi Osemele - Injured Reserve

3. Gino Gradkowski - starting center in second year.......book still out on potential

4. Marshal Yanda - only consistent player - but also hurting5. Michael Oher - great movie.....Sandra Bullock hot as a blonde....but to raw and prone to mistakes. Not a starting tackle in the NFL and will be gone this year
Ravens WILL draft a Tackle or Guard in the first round that will move to guard and allow a hopefully healthy KO to move to RT. Look for Ozzy to even make a move up in the draft for a top 10 spot. One of these four will be a Raven next year:

Greg Robinson (if he slips past 5, look for an Ozzy trade)Taylor Lewan (if available at 16/17)Zack Martin (if available at 16/17)Cyrus Kouandjio (most likely Raven, ROLL TIDE!!!)

We still have the same offensive line coach, which seemed to be the biggest problem last year next to Flacco.
