Detroit Lions to introduce dynamic ticket pricing, cut preseason prices for 2014 season
The Detroit Lions have announced that they will be instituting a dynamic pricing system which will decrease preseason ticket costs by 70 percent for the team’s games starting with the 2014 season.
The new system will have three separate price levels for the team’s games, with preseason games being the cheapest and primetime games, such as the teams annual Thanksgiving game, being the most expensive. The team said that season ticket holders will see an 8.2 percent increase in the cost of their ticket packages under the new pricing scheme.
The team had been 29th in the NFL in average ticket price in 2013, and the new pricing system will still keep them in the bottom third of ticket costs in the league.
