Sounds like this game is a desperation move before the Pro Bowl is finally eliminated for good. (yawn) And will anyone even notice?

I agree. Just make it an honor, similar to being selected an All-American in college, and put the voting back in the hands of the fans, or a committee made up of coaches and sports writers. But it's time to get rid of the game itself, as there is too much of a risk of being hurt during a game that doesn't matter.

The Pro Bowl has long been extraneous, but now it's downright silly. They're seriously going to play a game Sunday, when the players for the team haven't been all selected yet, and it's Wednesday? Why even bother. Even I won't watch, and I watch all the football I can find. Ergo, this is not football.
