Bobcats guard Kemba Walker out 10-14 days with ankle sprain
Walker was injured in the third quarter of Saturday night’s 104-96 overtime loss to the Miami Heat when he stepped on Chris Bosh’s foot. He left the arena with the assistance of crutches and a boot on his foot.
Though X-rays taken after the game were negative, an MRI on Sunday confirmed that Walker would miss up to two weeks. His streak of playing in 190 straight games will come to an end.
Ramon Sessions is expected to start in place of Walker for the Bobcats, who enter Monday’s game against the Toronto Raptors with a 17-25 record.
Walker leads the team in points, assists and steals this season.
