New York Knicks reserve forwards Amar’e Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin will be out for the next two weeks due to left ankle injuries, the team announced Friday.

Both were injured during the Knicks 117-89 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.

Martin sprained his left ankle early in the second quarter and did not return to the game. Stoudemire was hurt on a drive with four minutes left in the third quarter and X-rays on the ankle revealed a bone bruise.

“Right now, it’s throbbing pretty good because the trauma happened not so long ago,” Stoudemire said after the game, according to ESPNNewYork.com. “We’ll sit down and see how it feels. I’m going to bounce back from this and get back to what I was before. Hopefully I’ll be back sooner than later.”

Stoudemire is averaging 9.6 points in 19 minutes per game, mostly off the bench. Martin is averaging 4.2 points a game for the Knicks, which are 1.5 games back of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Amare is washed up... He used to be my favorite player in the NBA until he started health issues in Phoenix. Nash made him better than he was, along with Shawn Merrion. NY Knicks gives the most foolish contracts in the NBA
