Iowa State guard DeAndre Kane carried off court in loss to Oklahoma
Iowa State not only lost its undefeated record at Oklahoma on Saturday, but also its second-leading scorer, DeAndre Kane, who went down with an injury.
With 24 seconds left in the Cyclones’ 87-82 loss to the Sooners, Kane missed a layup and went down. He immediately clutched his left ankle and was seen on crutches after the game, according to Travis Hines of the Ames Tribune.
Kane led the Cyclones with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting, with nine rebounds and four assists. But he also turned the ball over seven times and missed five free throws. The senior is averaging 16.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists this season.

A road loss at Oklahoma isn’t too bad for Iowa State. Seeing DeAndre Kane get carried to the bench is potentially far more damaging.
