Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni said he hopes injured guards Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash can return to the lineup later this month, according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times.

D’Antoni said he hopes both can play Jan. 28 against the Indiana Pacers. The Lakers embark on a seven-game, 12-day road trip before the game against the Pacers.

The Lakers are near the bottom of the Western Conference with a 14-22 record this season.

“Hopefully both of them are ready,” D’Antoni said.

Bryant was expected to miss six weeks after suffering a fractured lateral tibial plateau in his left knee on Dec. 17 against the Memphis Grizzlies. Bryant had only played in six games after missing the first 19 games of the season while recovering from an Achilles injury.
