Former Cleveland Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum has reportedly drawn interest from eight NBA teams, according to a tweet Wednesday from ESPN’s Chris Broussard.

The full list of teams interested in the former All-Star’s services is not known. As previously reported, Broussard said the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers remain in the mix to land the big man. Sean Deveney of Sporting News reported that the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets are also expected to reach out to Bynum, but that the Indiana Pacers, despite being a contender and perhaps a team that would be of interest to Bynum, have no interest in the 26-year-old. Bynum cannot sign with a team until he clears waivers on Thursday.

The former NBA champion was traded to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday in a cap-clearing move. He was waived by Chicago less than 24 hours later. The Bulls don’t have to pay the $6.3 million remaining on his $12.3 million partially guaranteed contract.

As Broussard points out, playing time, the ability to win a championship this season and money will all be factors in Bynum’s decision of where to sign next. If he goes to a contender, such as the Miami Heat, it will likely be on a veterans minimum contract.

Seems like a perfect fit for the Heat.  If nothing else he can be another one of LeBron's goon bodyguards.  They can also use him to come off the bench to take cheap shots on the opponents smallest player.  He's good at that...

Andrew said it was between the Clipps and Heat...  but who knows???  If you are counting on Andrew you will be disappointed... Andrew needs to be on a team where he can be a role player at best... like Beasly in Miami.... for teams like Dallas to have interest would be silly. New York and Brookyln is a joke, why bring in more potential headache to an already disfunctioning squad... like Deron "pillsbury doughboy soft - coach killer - girl scout cookie selling" Williams is going keep Andrew in check

I'm secretly hoping the Sixers bring him back so Philly fans get a chance to throw things at him.

Yeah, he deserves the attention from 8 teams, right? Simply quit on Philly and Cleveland without even trying. Cashed those big paychecks though, didn't he?

Playing time and money factors in decision?

So... whoever will pay him the most and play him the least should be out in front, yeah?

Wherever he goes he will destroy the team chemistry, so Miami seems like a great destination.
