Baylor RB Lache Seastrunk declares for NFL draft
Baylor redshit junior running back Lache Seastrunk will declare for this year’s NFL draft as reported by Yahoo Sports Rand Getlin.
ESPN’s Joe Schad confirmed Seastrunk’s decision with his mother, Evelyn.
Seastrunk (5-10, 210 pounds) rushed for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns on 158 carries last season and is projected to be selected in the first three rounds.
Seastrunk explained his decision via a prepared statement:
“Playing in the NFL has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I’m fully prepared to take the next step toward realizing that goal,” Seastrunk said in a prepared statement. “I’m excited for the opportunity to compete in the NFL draft process. I look forward to giving teams every ounce of energy I’ve got and proving to them that I’m a good person, a relentless competitor, and a great player, too.”
Seastrunk signed with the University of Oregon as one of the nation’s most sought after recruits. After redshirting as a freshman for the Ducks in 2010, he transferred to Baylor in 2011.
