Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson had a career-year in 2013, putting up personal bests with 82 catches for 1,332 yards.

Jackson says he thinks that’s enough production to warrant a pay raise.

The problem is that Jackson just completed the second year of a five-year deal, $48.5 million he signed in 2012.

“I definitely feel it’s something deserving,” Jackson said, via ESPN.com. “We’ll see how that plays out. Hopefully, we can work things out smoothly and not have to worry about anything out of the ordinary.”

Jackson also scored nine touchdowns this season for the Eagles, helping the team win the NFC East.

“Honestly, I feel very confident that my agent will work something out,” Jackson said. “I feel like I have a great agent — that’s what he’s for, that’s what his job is. All I have to really worry about is staying out of trouble and keeping my nose clean and doing the things I need to do, working on my craft and playing football.”

Hope they renegotiate it for a $1 raise or something. It would be kind of funny.

What a jerk. Dont sign the contract next time for 5 years.

Yo Crybaby.  You play a game for which you are already paid an outrageous amount of money, which you agreed to do so for the term of 5 years.  If that is not good enough for you I'm sure there are plenty of burger flippers out there that would trade places with you for a mere 1% of your pay.  Shut up and play the game for the pay you agreed to accept.

Some good advice for DuhSean would be to lay off the crack. Yep drop the crack and lift some weights this off-season.

Thought he mellowed until I read this ...Is he ever going to be happy ? ..DeSean a great player with explosive speed---  unbelievable separation   speed  ---  and finally has a  QB  who can stay healthy   and now he's sounding like  the whine box  he was three years ago before he renegotiated  his contract ...Chill out will ya .....

Dude, STFU.  Seriously.  Eagles will never win with guys like this on the team.

he makes a great catch in the playoffs and goes back to his arrogant whiney ways..don't get me wrong, i'd rather see Jackson an Eagle than any other team, but continue to grow as a player both on and off the field before you demand these types of things. he's part of a team that really looks to be pretty damn good ahead so he needs to stop being selfish and be a team player and accept what contract he has now which isn't exploiting him by any means

You'll get nothing and you'll like it.

This man is stupid... He didn't learn anything from the T Owens debacle. It didn't end to well for TO and I suspect this idiot is heading down the same path!!!

This is news like saying "Today the sun rose in the East" is news.  DeSean thinks he deserves a new deal every year.

And then next year comes and you put up lousy numbers?  No one held a gun to your head.

@ElvisHitlerProblem is, last time he wasn't happy with his contract, 2011, he played awful.  And he's a top-5 WR.  Maybe trade him for a 1st rounder and keep Maclin opposite Cooper, that might work out for the Eagles, but otherwise, he won't play well without a pay raise.
