The Denver Nuggets have rescinded point guard Andre Miller’s two-game suspension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

The team announced the suspension of veteran point guard Miller for “conduct detrimental to the team” on Friday morning, after Miller got into a verbal spat with coach Brian Shaw during the team’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. Miller was upset at having his streak of 239 consecutive games played broken by a DNP-Coach’s Decision.

The team has since announced the Miller will not be suspended for those two games, but will instead be excused for all team activities until Monday, meaning the 37-year old will still receive game checks for the missed time.

Shaw has no power and now, management has decided to chicken out of suspension. Shaw is done; players won't respect him

its been a bad year for the nuggets....the team has no identity firing george karl was a colossal mistake...I like brian shaw but hes not meshing with the players he cant figure out which lineup to play.  But its all good that peyton manning guy is providing plenty of entertainment for the mile high city.

Shaw is a idiot, Miller has always been a team guy and not a shoot first point guard which is rarer than a player with no tattos in todays NBA. To break his players streak to prove he is boss is really a reflection of his poor leadership. That guy rode coat tails his whole career.

I'm sure rescinding Miller's suspension will be the catalyst to changing his behavior...Really? The Nuggets are perennial losers and this is one example of why. I'm sure the talking heads, esp. from ESPN, will try to make it into some type of controversy as that is the only type of reporting they know how to do and/or some dufus on here will try to make this into the coaches fault somehow. The NBA players today are some of the most selfish employees on the face of the planet. The top 30 highest paid NBA players make roughly 560 million dollars per year. I wonder how many families that could feed. King Obama should be taxing every bit of their money because If anyone should be receiving unemployment money it should be people who play a game for a job!

This is all very akward.. Miller has nevEr been labeled a cancer or loud and outspoken throughout his career and yet shows out to a first year coach who for all intent purposes was being groomed for the Lakers job but was looked over and then has to go off elsewhere to show he is HC material. Domt want to speculate and can see arguments on both ends but this may be telling of Brian Shaw only time will tell.

@corvettekp whiner, go get an education! BTW, the owners make more money and Internet CEOs are billionaires. You are just jealous seeing a black man making millions playing ball

@Papi Del Negro..... Dont askI've often wondered why talking heads always labeled Shaw the next great coach, but teams kept passing on him. It wasn't just the Lakers. This incident doesn't mean Shaw won't be a great coach, but this was a Jason Kidd coaching decision here. There are some terrible reserve players in the league and I don't understand why you would DNP Miller, unless like Kidd, he's trying to show everyone he's the boss.

@JohnFerguson @corvettekp Because we have to pay for their salaries through high ticket prices, high concession prices and a multitude of inane commercials on tv, radio and the internet.  Don't you know how the world works?
