Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson is reportedly not happy with the school and hopes that the university buys him out of his contract, according to CBSSports.com’s Bruce Feldman.

Johnson quickly responded saying about the report “there’s nothing to it” and that he plans to coach the team next season.

Johnson is under contract until 2016 after signing an extension in 2009 and has a $7.5 million buyout.

Johnson, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year, is 48-32 in six seasons at Georgia Tech, including a 7-6 mark this season. But Georgia Tech has only one win in their last five bowl games, including a 25-17 loss to Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl last week.

tech should offer him a couple of mil in buyout cash--he can't coach at this level --- they need a real coach

Paul Johnson has denied this report and as soon as he did so, another "tweet" about one of his assistant coaches, Bryan Cook, was then sent out saying HE was headed to Army, which HE immediately shot down as another lie. Obviously someone out there is concerned about something going on at GA Tech or they wouldn't be spreading this rumors. Perhaps a pretty good recruiting class is shaping up and this is an attempt to make some prospects become a bit "antsy"?

Bottom line is that Paul Johnson would be a fool to walk away from the money currently owed to him from GA Tech, and they don't have the money available to pay him off early because of the buyouts they already did when Chan Gailey and Paul Hewitt were dismissed early.

Paul hasn't done much at Georgia Tech and is boring as all hell.

I'm assuming they are just as unhappy with him so maybe they'll reach an accord.

They must've asked him to run a real offense. Since, it's not the schools fault real skill players don't really want to play in a 50's offense. Also, why would they buy him out,if he's upset quit and pay them off.
