The New York Giants and running back Andre Brown have mutual interest in remaining together for the 2014 season, according to a report from Conor Orr of the Star-Ledger.

On Monday, the 27-year-old said as he was leaving the Giants’ facility that he is hoping to get a deal done with the team as soon as possible, telling Orr, “Shoot, I got family up here and everything, I’ll do it tomorrow if you want to.” Likewise, the Giants, who wrapped up their 7-9 season last Sunday with a loss to the Washington Redskins, have already expressed interest in retaining the 27-year-old Super Bowl champion.

Brown had 800 all-purpose yards in eight games with the Giants this season after returning from a broken fibula suffered in August. He made his season debut in Week 10 and went on to rush 139 times for 492 yards with an average of 3.53 yards per carry. The Giants activated Brown in November after placing David Wilson on the season-ending injured reserve list.
