The Cleveland Browns have fired head coach Rob Chudzinski, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday night.

The news follows reports earlier Sunday that suggested Chudzinski would be fired after just one season with the Browns. Other reports indicated that a final decision might not be made until Monday.

The Browns went 4-12 in Chudzinski’s first — and apparently only — season as head coach. Cleveland finished out its season on Sunday with a 20-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns lost seven consecutive games to end the season, and 10 of their last 11.

Why would anyone want to be Browns HC? They don't give you the players or support. They only give you money and a bad name. The fans deserve better, but what do you expect when owner has his mind on his own freedom. It's time for Goodell/NFL to step in and take over until "problem" is fixed/gone.

what I remember is the consensus was the colts highway robbed the browns on the richardson deal .... a few weeks later it was ... wait for it .... the browns hosed the colts and were genius for making the trade ... so while this seems pretty goofy and even more than goofy if mcdaniel is the choice ... time will prove it right or wrong

the guy chud waited for a chance to be a head coach and then  gets saddled with  weeden hoyer and campbell as his qbs and gets the ax  seems foolishly quick at this point

maybe he was hired before lombardi got the GM job I do not remember but if that is true that makes more sense that he just wants his own choice

as a steeler fan I say the more silly stuff that happens to the browns the better besides I loved lombardi on the nfl network  maybe they will rehire him if this blows up

My team, the Lions, and the Browns are miserable failures.  Too bad; fans in both cities have it rough even in the best of times.  It would sure be nice to one day see a Super Bowl between the Lions and  Browns - we can dream about it.

Word is Josh McDaniels, OC of the Patriots will be the next coach. Maybe he will also get Tebow to play there.

This is what happens when you allow a corrupt, sleazy, right-wing southern cracker take control of a franchise. He wants to destroy this team-- just so he has an excuse to move it to a larger media market... probably somewhere south of the Mason-Dixon.

I'd pick a member of AC/DC instead!!!

Nah, the Browns will pick another ex-Patriot OC/DC. How about Mangini 2 or some other stupid hire?

Yeah, Browns, that's how you build a steady product on the field - change coaches every year. No wonder your own fans hate you.

I would have fired him just for having that stupid look on his face.  I don't care if he won 12 division titles.

Cleveland management giving the Raiders as the worst managed team.  Look for Shanahan next followed by Dennis Allen.  Schiano will bail out and head for Penn St. as soon as O'Brien signs up with the Texans.

@eddie767 watch what you ask for .... goodell has "fixed " enough stuff in the  NFL already incvluding numerous things that were not even broken ... he broke them into pieces just so he could fix them .

If Haslam somehow manages to buy his way out of going to prison (like all the other super wealthy do), his ownership will ultimately prove to be teams demise (in Cleveland, at least). Long live the CLEVELAND Browns.

I may very well be an idiot, Yipicya, but I'm right on this.
