Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner will not play in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl against Kansas State on Saturday, head coach Brady Hoke announced during his Thursday press conference.

True freshman Shane Morris, who’s thrown only nine collegiate passes, will start for the Wolverines (7-5).

The move was expected, as Gardner has been wearing a walking boot on his left foot, which a source told Bruce Feldman of CBSSports.com Gardner broke during the second drive of the third quarter against Ohio State on Nov. 30. The redshirt junior was still able to lead the Wolverines to three touchdown drives after that.

Michigan has lost four of its last five games, but Gardner threw eight touchdowns and only one interception in those games.

Frankly, I don't know how I feel about Hoke, Borges and Mattison for another year!

Gardener has another year?  As a Michigan fan I honestly don't know how to feel about that.
