Aaron Rodgers will start in Chicago on Sunday
Aaron Rodgers, who hasn’t played since breaking his collarbone on Nov. 4, will start in Chicago on Sunday as the Packers (7-7-1) play for the NFC North title against the Bears (8-7), Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy announced at his Thursday afternoon press conference.
Speculation ramped up that Rodgers would be available after he took first-team reps in individual drills during Thursday’s practice.
Rodgers threw 15 touchdown passes and four interceptions before he got hurt, and his 108.0 passer rating was the same mark he finished the 2012 season with.
The Packers are 2-5-1 since Rodgers’ injury.
Mike McCarthy: “Any football player that plays Sunday will have risk. We’ve done our due diligence. We feel it’s time for Aaron to play”
