Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, reports ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter.

The Cowboys, with a victory, would win the NFC East and lock up a playoff spot.

Lee has missed the past two games with a sprained neck, which he suffered in a loss to the Chicago Bears on Dec. 9.

Lee has 99 combined tackles with a team-leading four interceptions and six passes defensed.

He also missed two games in late November with a hamstring injury.

He's a very fine player when he plays, the problem is he is never on the field. It was a major issue for my favorite NFL team - the NY Giants. I do believe that it is tied into the new NFL - CBA that the league struck with the Players Union.

You have a news story when this guy is actually playing. He has stats, but he is far from dominant on the field.

Sorry to hear this because he's pretty much the only Cowboys player I've ever liked.  Hope he heels up soon and has a healthy 2014.

I sincerely hope he can have an injury-free campaign in 2014. The guy is super talented but is increasingly looking like he can't shake the injury bug.
