The Florida Gators will hire Duke’s Kurt Roper as their new offensive coordinator, according to ESPN‘s Edward Aschoff and Chris Low.

Roper has held the offensive coordinator’s position for the Blue Devils’ football team since 2008, and has previously worked at Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Kentucky. This season, Duke made it to the ACC championship game and was ranked 68th in the country in total offense.

The Gators’ kept head coach Will Muschamp but fired coordinator Brent Pease at the end of a disappointing 2013 season that saw the 4-8 team ranked 114th in points per game.

Sixty-eighth in the country? Is that even remotely good? It's better obviously, but can the Gators win the SEC with this offense? It would be nice if the article told us something about it.
