The Twins and 30-year-old catcher Kurt Suzuki have agreed on a one-year deal, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The deal, which is pending a Friday physical, is worth $2.75 million plus incentives, a source told Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

Suzuki is a seven-year veteran who, aside from a brief pit stop in Washington, has played his entire career with the Athletics. He hit .232 with five homers and 32 RBIs in 93 games last season, and he has a career .309 OBP.

With Joe Mauer moving to first base full time next season, the Twins were looking for depth at catcher.
