Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker won’t play this Sunday, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported.

Welker suffered a concussion in the Broncos’ Dec. 8 game against the Tennessee Titans, and he hasn’t played since. He has yet to be cleared medically to play.

The Broncos are traveling to take on the Houston Texans on Sunday. If they win their final two games, they will be guaranteed home-field advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs, as well as a first-round bye.

The 32-year-old Welker signed a two-year deal with the Broncos last offseason. So far this year, he has 73 receptions for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Rest up Welker. He won't be needed for a month and will be good to go!

The Patriots were right on not going trying hard to retain him. Wes' time as an effective player will become more and more limited as he ages.

@Lohikaarme Dumbest comment of the day. Amendola's stats: 579 yds, 2 TDs. It's no wonder New England is among the league's worst in 3rd down conversion percentage...

@Lohikaarme Somehow I don't think Brady shares your viewpoint. Not having Welker in there has hurt that offense.

@Lohikaarme I bet the Patriots wish they had him now!! For that matter, a lot of teams would love 73 rec, 778 yds & 10 TDs at their WR position
