Former Notre Dame and USF redshirt sophomore defensive end Aaron Lynch will enter the 2014 NFL draft, according to reports and confirmed by USF.

Lynch, who is considered a potential first-round pick, has signed with an agent, according to Neil Stratton of Inside The League.

Lynch earned freshman All-America honors after leading Notre Dame with 5.5 sacks in 2011, before transferring to USF to be closer to family and home. After sitting out the 2012 season, Lynch recorded 17 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, a pass deflection, and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 2013.

Early in the 2013 season, he admitted that he needed to become a better teammate at USF.

Not the brightest crayon in the box. And when he gets hurt in the NFL he can work at the car wash.
