Report: Cowboys, Orlando Scandrick agree on contract extension

The Dallas Cowboys recently signed cornerback Orlando Scandrick to a two-year extension, keeping him with the team through the 2018 season, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

According to the report, the deal adds another $9 million in guaranteed money to his original five-year, $27 million extension from two years ago. He received $10 million guaranteed in that deal.

In 2014, his $4.5 million base salary will be fully guaranteed.

Scandrick, 26, has 50 total tackles this season with two interceptions, one forced fumble and 12 passes defensed.

The Cowboys defense ranks dead last in the NFL in total and passing defense, and 28th in rushing defense. They give up an average of 428 yards per game and have given up 49o yards or more five times this season.
