Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was forced to cancel the U.K. part of his book tour on Tuesday after learning that he’s banned from the country because of previous convictions.

According to an Associated Press report on Tuesday, the 47-year-old Tyson, currently on a worldwide promotional tour for his autobiography, “Undisputed Truth,” scrapped plans for a tour throughout London this week after his publisher, HarperCollins U.K., was made aware of recent changes to the United Kingdom’s immigration laws, which forbid anyone sentenced to more than four years in prison from entering the country.

In the 1990s, Tyson served three years of a six-year prison sentence for raping a teenage beauty-pageant contestant in Indiana, a conviction he has denied as being valid.

According to the report, Britain’s Home Office declined to comment on Tyson’s ban from the country.
