Report: Washington’s Chris Petersen now Pac-12′s highest paid coach
New Washington head coach Chris Petersen will be the Pac-12 Conference’s highest paid football coach, reports CBSSports.com’s Bruce Feldman.
According to the report, Petersen will sign a five-year deal with the school and will be paid $3.6 million a season. That figure also places Petersen as the 11th highest paid coach in all of college football.
Petersen, 49, spent the past eight seasons at Boise State compiling a 92-12 record, winning two BCS Bowl games and five bowls overall. This season, the Broncos went 8-4, the first time in Petersen’s career his team did not win 10 games in a season.
