The Miami Heat have started trade talks with teams in order to get more backcourt help as guard Dwyane Wade manages his troublesome knee, report ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst.

Wade did not play in the team’s 107-87 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday because of illness. It was the fifth game he has missed this season, and the Heat are 2-3 in those games.

According to the report, center-forward Joel Anthony, may be on the trading block as one of the players who might be available to be moved.

GOLLIVER & MAHONEY: Are the Blazers contenders?

The Heat have started three different players in Wade’s spot when he has been out of the lineup this season. Wade has played in back-to-back games only once in 2013 and then proceeded to miss the next two games because of knee soreness.

Over the past three seasons, the Heat are 27-8 when Wade doesn’t play.

TheHeat need size help in the frontcourt. Roy Hibbert looked like Kareem Abdul Jabbar against them last night. They hope Greg Oden will be able to help the 2nd half of the season. If they don't get any help up front, I wouldn't look for a 3-peat.

I don't get it. Don't they need frontcourt players more than guards? The teams they have difficulty with are those that pound them inside like the Pacers with Hibbert and West, and the Bulls with Noah and Boozer. And that's how they lost to the Pistons last week with Drummond and Monroe. So they decide they need backcourt help? If they don't do anything about their frontcourt we could see a new champion next July.

@captaincone9 what? That's too much.

We need to give them our D league prospect for Deion Waiters, a fourth overall pick.

These internet GMs slay me i swear.

You do realize that the other team has to feel the trade is equitable talent wise don't you?

Of course you would... Why the hell would Cleveland dump him for 8th and 9th rotation pieces plus a second round pick? Makes no sense.
