Report: Jonathan Martin meeting with NFL investigator again
Dolphins offensive tackle Jonathan Martin will meet with NFL lead investigator Ted Wells on Thursday in Los Angeles to discuss his findings, according to ESPN.com.
Martin previously met with Wells in New York City on Nov. 15 to discuss his claims of bullying and harassment against teammate Richie Incognito.
Wells’ investigation has included a week of interviews with players, coaches and team executives at the Dolphins’ training facility. Wells reportedly scheduled Thursday’s meeting with Martin to reveal his findings from those interviews. Martin’s season was officially ended when the Dolphins placed him on the non-football injury list last week. He has not returned to the team since walking out of the team’s training facility in late October.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Wells also is expected to return to Miami next week to conduct a second round of interviews with Dolphins players — including Incognito — to clarify some details. Incognito remains suspended with pay until the NFL releases its report.
Wells’ findings reportedly will be submitted to commissioner Roger Goodell’s office in a week to 10 days, with the investigation completed soon thereafter.
