The NBA postponed Wednesday’s night scheduled game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs in Mexico City because of smoke in the arena, the league announced.

The league says the game will be played in Minnesota at a later date.

The league announced earlier that the start of the game had been delayed due to a generator malfunction which has produced smoke inside the Mexico City Arena.

While both teams were warming up 45 minutes before the game, lights went out in portions of the arena and smoke began coming out of vents in the upper deck.

Players, media, and fans were then ordered to evacuate the arena.

Most polluted city in the world. Guess someone left a window open.
