Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar will miss about four weeks because of a tear in his left hamstring, the team announced.

Farmar was injured in the Lakers’ 114-108 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

Farmar spent his first four NBA seasons with the Lakers after being drafted in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft. He was a contributor off the bench, helping the team win two championships.

This season, the 27-year-old veteran is averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 assists off the bench for the Lakers (9-9). The Lakers bench leads the NBA in scoring at almost 48 points per game.

Not good, he's been playing really well this year. The Lakers need him.
