Ndamukong Suh has been fined $7,875 by the NFL for making a throat-slashing gesture after a tackle on Sunday, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Suh has already been fined by the league twice this season, a $100,000 penalty for a low block on Minnesota’s John Sullivan and $31,500 for leading with his helmet on a tackle of Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden.

Suh has been fined a total of nine times in his NFL career and was suspended for two games during the 2011 season for stomping on Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith.

Breaking News!

Ndamukong Suh fined by NFL for farting too close to Aaron Rogers on the sideline therefore causing his collar bone to take longer to heal.

Didn't Brett Farve use the throat slash every game and he was America's darling up until he left Green Bay?  Just saying...

Girl named Suh acts like a Horse's Backside again and again and again

Hopefully they review Matthews' hit on Joique Bell.  He clearly led with the crown of his helmet and Suh got reviewed and fined for a similar play against Weeden.  Come on NFL...

Rickapolis.....ever heard of the phrase the squeaky wheel gets the oil?  Well,  same thing here....when someone like this moron continues to break the rules he is going to be watched like a hawk.  Is it fair..yes. If this moron would stop doing dumb things, especially on Thanksgiving when everyone is watching, then he would not be watched as much.  But this is at least the second or maybe third dumb thing he has done on Thanksgiving alone.  The last one I can remember, also against the Packers was he stomped on a lineman when he was on the ground.

He is a good player that just is dumb and does not respect the game and he is going to hurt someone really bad one day.  Anyone who shows this disrespect for the game and his fellow players is going to end up hurting someone very badly one day to the point to where it would end that players career.

I know Suh keeps doing stupid things on the field, but he does seem to be getting undue attention from the league. The fine seems a bit excessive for the 'infraction'.

He's no different than any other defensive lineman in the nfl. They all want to kill the qb. 8k for a gesture......ridiculous!

When a team has no leadership, players will never change their actions. Or...the team simply doesn't care. My guess is that both are true for the Lions.

What a joke, how about fine the packers for that embarrassing attempt at competitive football on national television. Make sure they fine that coward Clay Matthews the next time he celebrates one of his sacks, that is if he gets another one. Fire Goodell.

Suh just laughs these fines off. Even the 2 game suspension for the stomping incident didn't hurt him that much because of how he had his contract structured. He is fortunate that the NFL doesn't actually care about his antics, player safety or the integrity of the league.

It's interesting because of the field he is a Class Act.  Jekyl & Hyde.

The NFL needs to take action on all acts of taunting and TD celebrations along with tackles or catches or runs and ban kickers for celebrating after field goals as well. Then fans should not be able to cheer should be the next move......

Stupid.....

Now certain players are targeted for acts though others can do similar acts of moronic behavior and they don't blink an eye.

Judas Priest, coach.  How about putting a stop to this behavior once and for all.  Win or lose, this stuff is embarrassing the Lions!

@dagge1se He did it once in 1999, was penalized 15 yards, and then the league sent a memo out the following week banning it.

@Rottie20 It's football. It is a throat slash. Have you heard how they treat each other in their own locker room? A throat slash is no big deal  compared to hazing they inflict on each other.

C'mon Rottie its football. This is the same "moron" that gently set Flynn down to the ground in the endzone. He's an aggresive player,, but no dirtier than any other DT in the league.

@Dutch2000 it's a gesture.  It may be crude but it is only a gesture, and at this point these guys look more ridiculous than anything else when they do this stuff.   Who is the victim and how is the integrity of the league being affected by a gesture?

@Marty2 It's a gesture by a football player.  It's almost embarrassing to me that something so inane embarrasses you.   You need to order some thicker skin.

@Marty2 If you're a Lions fan and you don't love having a vicious defensive player that offensive players fear, you are in the wrong sport. Go watch tennis.
