Broncos coach John Fox to return to work Monday, plans to coach Week 14
Fox had the procedure on November 4 after feeling ill during the team’s bye week. Jack Del Rio, the interim head coach, has coached the team for the past three weeks and has gone 2-1 in that time frame.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Fox plans to coach the team in their Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans, but it is not clear if Fox will coach from the sidelines or from the coaching booth.
“John Fox has been cleared by doctors to return as head coach of the Denver Broncos beginning Monday. We are very pleased that his recovery from a heart procedure on Nov. 4 has progressed so well,” the team said in a statement. “Our organization is confident that his health will allow him to meet his head coaching responsibilities. While no formal restrictions will be placed on his workload upon return, he will continue to be monitored by our medical staff as his well-being remains our No. 1 priority. “We look forward to Coach Fox’s return to the team on Monday.”
