Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson was arrested last week on a probable cause of driving while impaired and possession of a controlled substance, reports the Brian Murphy of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Henderson is the third Vikings player to get arrested this month.

Henderson was detained on Nov. 19 for registering a blood-alcohol level of 0.11, and is suing the Department of Public Safety to prevent the state from revoking his driver’s license.

Henderson did not play in Sunday’s 26-26 tie with the Green Bay Packers after not practicing all week because  “personal reasons.”

“The fact that we have had three recent off-field situations is unacceptable and disappointing,” Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said in a statement Wednesday. “Our organization looks at each situation and the circumstances involved to determine our actions with those players and how to best move forward.

“The Vikings have a comprehensive approach with our player development program and excellent resources that are a part of this organization, but certainly we will take a methodical look at how we can improve upon our current programs to prevent these situations in the future.”

I think Henderson will lose his license but not for a year, maybe a few months. Also note, usually they get a temp licence to drive back and forth to work so they can maintain their livelihood. Had he refused a breath test, then its an automatic lost of license for one year but he took the test from what I read.

Recapping....Henderson is caught DWI, arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance. He is temporarily suspended by the Vikings WITH pay. He will serve out a short suspension, apologize, return to the Vikings, be declared a "changed man", and be hailed for his courage by the media. It will be exactly like Aldon Smith of the Niners. Meanwhile, Incognito is suspended WITHOUT pay, and will be blackballed from ever playing in the NFL. And for what? Something seems amiss here.

And who walks through the background during Henderson's Q&A with the press?  Audie Cole!  Heh Heh

@Marchoir  What is amiss here is a goofy roundabout way of suggesting reverse racism. That and your lack of a stars and bars avatar.

@VforViking  Cole will be the bane of the Norris for years to come.
