Wizards’ John Wall: ‘I’m the best point guard in the league’
John Wall is having a strong season for the Washington Wizards, averaging 19.5 points, 9.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, but some may question his recent assertion to Fox Sports that he’s “the best point guard in the league.”
The 23-year-old is arguably having the best three-game stretch of his career, with 33.0 points on 61.4 percent shooting, 6.0 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals as Washington has won two of its last three, including Tuesday night’s 116-111 win over the Lakers.
Still, the Wizards are only 6-8 in the weak Eastern Conference, and Chris Paul, who averages just 0.2 points per game less and 3.5 assists more than Wall, may be the league’s consensus pick for top point guard.
Or Russell Westbrook. Or Tony Parker. Or Stephen Curry.
