A DNA report connects Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston to the woman who alleges that he sexually assaulted her, reports ESPN.com’s Mark Schlabach.

According to the report, a Florida state crime lab determined that the chances that the DNA in the woman’s underwear is a match for someone other than Winston was one in 2.2 trillion.

Winston has not been charged with any crime. An attorney for Winston denied the reported allegations against his client after they emerged last week.

The attorney told the Tallahassee Democrat on Thursday that his client had voluntarily submitted a DNA test in the case last Thursday. He also alleged that law enforcement had leaked the DNA report, which he says he has not seen.

SI WIRE: Jameis Winston’s attorney: Florida State QB and accuser had consensual sex

Earlier Wednesday, the accuser’s family released a statement that claimed that a Tallahassee, Fla., police detective told the accuser that her life could “be made miserable” if she pursued charges.  The accuser stopped cooperating with police in February, according to ESPN.com.

The family’s statement also alleged that detectives “specifically refused to collect Winston’s DNA or interview Winston’s roommate who witnessed the attack.”

More from ESPN.com:

The DNA match alone does not prove that Winston, a leading Heisman Trophy candidate, sexually assaulted the woman, as the accuser’s family claimed in a statement released by a Tampa-based attorney on Wednesday. But it does indicate that Winston, who has yet to talk to Tallahassee police or the state attorney investigating the case, had his DNA associated with the accuser on Dec. 7, 2012, when the accuser claimed she was sexually assaulted at an off-campus apartment.

Lay some pipe get possible life.  if the girl was white it's over for Jame is in trouble.

Jameis screwed some broad laid some pipe and probably went his merry way.  The scorned broad wanted more. Like love and now cash. Lay pipe suffer for life.  It was sex not murder. move on.

This doesn't seem to be a white or black thing unless the accuser girl is white. If she is white all hell will break loose in Florida. If the girl is black let it go and let the kid move on.

He said, she said.

Unless corroborating witnesses come forward, nothing will come from this other than Winston's Heisman chances being ruined.

Where is this girl's school spirit? She needs to take one for the team here. That being said, if Winston had consensual sex with this poor girl and got her pregnant during a one night stand then he needs to do the right thing and marry her. The wedding should be this weekend and then every one can move on with Winston winning the Heisman after he helps FSU beat down Idaho, Florida, Duke and Alabama for National Championship. GO 'NOLES!

The accuser has to be black and poor because Jameis would be in jail if it was a white girl.  Pay her off in food stamps and cocaine and be done with it.

I'm not going to sit here and play the 'blame the victim' card, as we do not know what actually happened but let's stop and think. How many times have we seen a scenario where a college girl got too drunk, slept with a guy, woke up hungover, ashamed, and full of regret and instead of owning up to her actions decides to go after the guy? It's happened time and time again, especially when said female realizes the guy is a football player. On the other hand, how many times have we seen an entitled football player walk into a party thinking he can get any girl he wants simply because he's on the football team? Plenty of times. Interesting to see how this all plays out.

Accused of Rape? No heisman vote.  The girl has to be black and poor. If it was a white girl who was raped there would have been a lynching by now.

Now his attorney claims the sex was consensual.   OK.... the sex thing has been put to bed.   Now it's down to.... did he force her or was it really consensual?

Chuckster

Clearly something went on.   It looks more and more like they had sex.   Whether or not it was consensual will come out and if he's guilty I hope he pays for it.  Rape is a crime of which the bell cannot be unrung.  It will be with her the rest of her life.   What concerns me is the timing of the sudden revelation of it all to the public.  Who let the cat out at this time?   FSU in the title hunt with 'Bama.   Here's OSU in the wings not getting the respect it thinks it deserves and that shot at the title.   Of course there's upstart Baylor coming on and with Stanford's loss, Oregon is thrust back in (of course they would need a lot of help).   Who stands the most to gain by exposing this now???

He was set up.  Let me explain..............

The other person in 2,000,000,000,000 just happened to be in Tallahassee on the same day at the same party at the same time and just happened to get lucky with the girl who "mistakenly" accused him.

C'mon guys; let all the information come out before we crucify this guy.  Two Texas players were held out of their bowl game last year and removed from the team for two or three months for this exact same offense, only to have the charges dropped because evidence showed that the sex was consensual.  Maybe he did it, but maybe he didn't.  We just don't know yet.  And, by the way, I'm pulling for Bryce Petty in the Heisman race.

@dandogwood  what the hell do you mean if she is black let it go?  First off find out if a crime as been committed.  If so then pursue justice regardless of the color of the Girl

tyronew4
tyronew4

@bartlett  The hell with a school spirit!!!   If a crime has been committed here, then justice must be served.  That's the problem with sports now,  too much preferential treatment.  I love sports but no one should be above the law regardless of who you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@dandogwood  Don't be so sure about that.  O J  got away.    It's all about money my friend.  Color is  not much of factor these days.

Just so you know, a witticism has to actually be *witty*.  It's sort of a core requirement.

UncleJemima

@Bucky182 and besides, 100 no' s equals a yes.  That said, I think the police are going to have some explaining to do as to why they did get a DNA sample last year.  The thing that is odd is Winston' s attorney initially said that the accuser reported her attacker as being 5'8  or so, with the implication that his client (Winston) was obviously not the attacker.  Now the attorney is saying he expected a DNA match.  I guess it is just another day in Florida.

@dandogwood DORK!  Are you Al Sharpton's son?   Jesse Jackson's?   Some other moron that claims they are trying to put a stop to racism yet stirs it up whenever they can despite the fact that there is beyond nothing suggesting it.      What a moron.

@Chuckster And they say there was a witness.  How many consensual hookups have a witness in the room?

tyronew4

@Chuckster  so right, there is no doubt the timing is indeed political.  Not only that if he is guilty they will fight it off until after the season, then throw him to the dogs.  Unless  NFL  a team express an interest then he'll get some support to push it under the rug.  It's all about how valuable he would be to some team.  It's sad but it's all about money sometime.

@Chuckster I believe the initial report was by TMZ.  With that said, I would not put it past Urban Meyer.  He has the Florida connections and the motivation.

@OwG If he's guilty I am sure there will be legal action.....against Winston.   On the other hand if he's not, then he has every right to sue her.   Good luck with that.

@UncleJemima Whew!  And here I thought "it's Florida....hanging chad state....he'll probably be elected governor in his sophomore year"..... Thank GOD the DA is a FSU grad.

UncleJemima

@BobRayTalbot You are talking about the linebacker Jordan Hicks and QB Case McCoy.  It happened in San Antonio and yes charges were dropped, but this is Texas and football>>>>> rape.  Nothing to see here folks.

Chuckster

@BobRayTalbot Where would the fun be if we can't crucify him????   He's innocent for unless they prove he's guilty.   This is all coffee pot talk now.

@UncleJemima @Chuckster You know that very thought was my first inclination.   He feels like OSU has been screwed out of the title.    22 consecutive wins is impressive but consider the competition.   Of course, he's heard all of that too.

@Listening  @dandogwood sounds like he is from a very dysfunctional family  that has some very serious immoral sex and race issues.

UncleJemima

@Chuckster @UncleJemima well, that would be my Sleepers twist, in that the Florida grad screws up the case but not in an obvious manner...kind of like how Les Miles coaches.

Chuckster
Chuckster

@UncleJemima @Chuckster Interesting twist.   But what better defense?  A Florida grad defending the FSU kid, who's in the hunt for the Heismann and a title????   Why would he defend the FSU kid unless he's innocent.

UncleJemima
UncleJemima

@Chuckster @UncleJemima Winston' s attorney who has been on the case for a year is a double Florida grad.  Think of that what you will. For some reason I have been thinking of the movie Sleepers ,but in this case the defense attorney would throw the case and not the prosecution.

Chuckster
Chuckster

@RTR @Chuckster @BobRayTalbot Well, chances are 99.9999999% that his fluid was there which implies that he had intercourse with her and then given her statements seriously implicates him in the assault.    Oh what a load that sounds like..... I think you're right....but will wait to make final judgment.
