The Saints placed cornerback Jabari Greer on the injured reserve list Tuesday after he suffered a severe leg injury.

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that the Saints have brought on Trevin Wade to help shore up their secondary after the loss of Greer. The 10-year veteran suffered a gruesome knee injury in the first quarter of the team’s win on Sunday when he landed awkwardly after deflecting a pass.

Greer has been the Saints best corner this season, leading the team with 12 passes deflected. He will not be able to return to the team after being placed on the IR.

Sorry to hear this.  I was hoping he'd make the trip in a couple weeks to Seattle.  I hope he heals and is back at full speed next year.
