Falcons running back Jason Snelling was arrested after he was caught possessing (and eating) marijuana, Barrow County News reports.

Snelling was arrested by the Winder Police Department after a traffic stop, when an officer noticed Snelling’s car was unable to stay in its lane. Snelling told the officer he had been smoking marijuana earlier in the evening and the officer searched his car. From Barrow County News:

“I asked Mr. Snelling if there was any other marijuana in the vehicle, and he told me that there was a grinder in the center console of the vehicle and that it had a little bit of marijuana left in it,” the arresting officer wrote in his report. “… I searched the vehicle and located a metal grinder where Mr. Snelling had said it was.”

While officials were searching the car, an officer noticed Snelling was swallowing repeatedly. The officer asked Snelling to open his mouth and “observed several green leafy particles inside,” according to Barrow County News.

Snelling was placed under arrest and taken to Barrow County Detention Center. He was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of drug related materials, expired or no driver’s license, failure to maintain lane, failure to maintain insurance, improper use of dealer license plate and no registration.

AMERICA'S WAR ON DRUGS IS A WAR ON AMERICANS!!!33

And all these marijuana supporters say it doesn't have adverse effects. I would say it's mind-altering if you can't keep your car in the lane.

I'd probably be stoned too if I played on that terrible team.

@BillCutter It's still a DUI, just like if he was on prescription drugs, alcohol, sniffed glue, etc.
