Rockets guard James Harden fined $5k for flopping
Houston Rockets guard James harden has been fined $5,000 by the NBA for flopping, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.
The fine was prompted by a flop from Harden during the team’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. Harden had previously had been warned this season and was fined for his second offense of the league’s anti-flopping policy.
If Harden is found guilty of another infraction he will be fined $10,000. No player has received three violations since the league instituted its new policy last season.
John Wall, Kevin Love and Iman Shumpert are among the players who have received warnings for flopping so far this season, but Harden is the first to receive a fine for exaggerating contact.
