After turning to three different quarterbacks in the past two weeks, the Green Bay Packers might look to an old backup to fill the void.

The Packers will work out former backup Matt Flynn on Monday, ESPN.com’s Ed Werder reported Sunday. According to Werder, the Packers had planned the workout even before their quarterback situation got even more complicated on Sunday.

Seneca Wallace, who started Sunday’s 27-13 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, was injured early in the first quarter. Scott Tolzien, who was on the Packers’ practice squad until last week, finished out the loss to the Eagles. The 26-year-old Tolzien completed 24 of 39 passes for 280 yards, while throwing one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Packers are expected to need to manage about four-to-six weeks without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who broke his left collarbone in a loss against the Chicago Bears last week.

Flynn spent the first four seasons of his NFL career in Green Bay, where he had success as Rodgers’ backup. He signed a three-year, $26 million free agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks in 2012, only to lose the battle for the starting job to rookie Russell Wilson. Flynn, 28, has been released by the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills this year.

Losers of two straight, the Packers are one game back of the Detroit Lions in the NFC North.

Considering what Tolzien was thrown in to, off the practice squad this week, I thought he did awesome. That end zone interception killed, but so did Crosby's old ways of missing field goals not help as well.

I really would like to see this guy have a week of full prep.

He really did have a decent game.

Three more loses and this team is done for the year. 7 Loses or more and your not going to the playoffs. With the D the pack has shown the past two weeks they don't belong in the playoffs to begin with.

Flynn may be able to help. Tolzien has the rookie look, he decides who is getting the ball and then throws it without regard to coverage.
